College Composition Week 10

In the final week it is hard to believe that college composition is completed with success. Over the past nine weeks there has been so much material learned that helped me become a better writer and being successful in writing a scientific paper. This paper was overwhelming and took some time to get the paper just right. The most important thing that I learned was making sure the scientific paper had an argument and the three points for the paper. This paper was much different in the ones that I have written before but now that the concept has been learned this will help me to be a more successful writer and can take it with me throughout my career. I would like to say thank you to everyone for the great feedback and wish everyone success in their careers.

College Composition Week 9

This week is unit nine for college composition and coming down to the last weeks of the term. Throughout the last eight weeks there has been so much information that I have learned in writing a scientific paper. All of the techniques from the weeks past have helped me in being successful in writing a good paper. This week will come down to rereading the paper one final time before being turned in. Overall the last few weeks have been difficult but I have hung in there and stayed with the pace of the class and the writing. In my goal is to never give up just keep pushing and you will get to where you want to be in life. My final thoughts are to thank everyone who has given me great feedback and thanks to the wonderful professor in helping get me thru the class. There are just so many things that I have learned over the past eight weeks. Overall I feel very successful and wish all of my classmates the best in there career goal. Please stay in touch when the class is over. It is always good to hear from classmates even when the term is over.

College Composition Week 8

It is very hard to believe that we are in week eight of college composition. The weeks go by so fast and is very amazing the things that college composition has taught me. Over the past seven weeks we have learned how to write a scientific paper and the steps involved in writing this type of paper. Learning how to take each step one at a time has helped me to construct the paper correctly to make it scientific and argumentive. The things that have helped me are making sure when writing the paper that each paragraph transitions with the thesis statement of the paper. In making sure the thesis correlates to the thesis statement gives the reader a better understanding of what is being argued and being able to support it with facts as well. In coming to the end of college composition the things that I have learned in this class they will be carried on thoughout my career and will be a more successful writer as time goes on. Once again thanks to all my peers and instructor for the feedback that has been given to me over the past seven weeks. I wish all my peers success in their career they are working for. Finally just remember we can all do it if we put our minds to the work.

College Composition Week 7

It is amazing that we are in week seven of college composition. Over the past six weeks the things that have helped me are learning how to write a scientific paper. This has been a really cool process in learning how to write the different types of papers. In being able to write the different papers we can see the differences in the paper whether we are informing or arguing something. Overall I feel confident now in writing the different types of papers and feel that I am learning alot throughout the courses. This will help me to be successful in my career as well as becoming a better writer and knowing that the strength is there and knowing that I can do it if it is set in my head to do so. On the other hand there has been alot on my mind with the tests that are going on to figure out why I have been so sick and finally today got some of the test results back which were not good. Over the next few weeks it will be difficult to deal with what I have to do in order to restore the things that are needed. Everything will be done at home so that will be better than having to go to the hospital every week. I would like to just say thanks to my classmates and professor for the support during these difficult times and would like to say thank you and hope that all of you will continue to keep me in your thoughts on a daily basis.

College Composition Week 6

This week in writing the post draft outline of the paper helps to discuss what my three points of the paper are and the arguments that the young people need help with. In writing the outline was not as difficult as I thought it to be. This helps as a writer to see what the main points are and to see if there are things that need to be changed in the paper. It is really amazing to see that we are already in week 6 and the time is flying and this class will be over before we realize it, but at the same time I am learning alot of good information to help me become a better writer and to be able to write professionally in my career as a medical assistant. In becoming a medical assistant there will be alot of responsibilites and good writing will be one of the most important things in my career. When writing down things that have to be documented correctly otherwise could jeopardize my career because it was not written correctly. This week will really help the most as we are turning in a rough draft to get the proper feedback to get the best feedback possible. And also the writing center is great. They will also give you feedback on the paper and direct you to where the problems are and the links to help you correct that part of the paper. And most of all this week that comes to my mind is that I would like to thank all my classmates and a wonderful professor that has given me feedback on the work so far. This has helped tremendously in having a great class and professor that will answer questions. Again thanks to everyone.

College Composition Week Five

This week in composition is learning the different types of writing styles. The styles are all different and can be taken in a different approach for each one. The things that still have me confused are writing a strong thesis and making sure that the writing is on the right track. The points of the thesis is suppose to show what will be explained in the paper throughout. So in writing this paper we are suppose to have an introduction, first point, second point, third point, and a conclusion. The things that I think about is having a strong introduction and then the other paragraphs should follow those three points from the thesis and must argue what needs to be done. These are often supplied with facts that will support the ideas and then what needs to be done to correct the problems or causes. For example in writing about alcohol and young people the three points are the eating disorders, substance abuse and suicide. According to the research that has been performed all young people suffer from these three things in consuming alcohol. In reading a article on eating disorders showed what the effects are and what causes them and supports them with facts about the eating disorders. Then in the second point as to substance abuse is when young people are drinking alcohol they often uses substances that are harmful when consuming alcohol. Finally in the third point about suicide is often when young people consume alochol and use things such as substance in illegal drugs then both of those combined often leads young people to committing suicide. College Composition Week Four

This week in writing the things that we are studying is the proper way to cite the work. In writing we always need to give the author the credit for using their words or there articles. Unless we properly cite the work this is called plagiarism and can cost us in our careers if this is not contained in the work. Whenever in doubt about citing something the things to remember is if we are using other articles, books, journals, etc. If unsure about citing we can always ask questions to see if it needs to be cited or can look at it just cite whenever in doubt and it will save you from putting your career in jeopardy. The things that help me remember is just cite the work whenever in doubt. The other things about writing is learning the different steps and processes that we use to write a paper. The first thing that I do is pick a topic that can be easily researched and have enough inofrmation to support the paper. The second thing is brainstorming the ideas. Then take the ideas from the brainstorming to create the paper. Then read it aloud to make sure the paper makes sense. Then we can proofread it to find and correct mistakes throughout our paper. Then when it comes to the final draft make sure to do spelling and grammar check and always reread the final draft to make sure all the corrections are made to the paper. Sometimes there are words in there that makes the paper to wordy and does not make sense. As a writer we want to make sure our reader understands what we are trying to present to them. By working together as a class if there is anything that I may be of assistance to you feel free to let me know. Working together as a class will make all of us to become better writers. College Composition Week Three

The feeling about being an online student and taking classes online is that the time is more convient and the way the classes are setup in a great way to learn the material. Also by taking online classes it gives you the opportunity to meet new people and to learn from them as well. The discussion boards of the classes are great because of being able to help each other out and learning from what other classmates are writing about and also helps to improve writing skills. Being able to learn how to post a blog and being able to express our feelings is a great way of learning how to write better and getting feedback from other classmates. As to any topic that is on my mind is in my opinion how other classmates feel about the different writing styles and how to approach the writing styles in the correct way. There are so many different writing styles and guidelines to follow for the different writing styles. The most important thing is learning how to develop the certain type of paper and how to apply the techniques to them. The only question that may be on my mind is getting feedback from my classmates on the different writing styles so please leave feedback.

Welcome To College Composition 2

This week is week two of college compostion two. Hopefully this term will be great and learn alot of new things. Some of the things from unit one helped me to understand the necessary punctuation and sentence structure. These will be important components in the writing process thoughout this course. The things to help me remember is by trying to take each step one at a time and by checking my sentences as I work through the project. By working step by step will allow me to check each sentence that I write to make sure that it is properly written and using the correct grammar for each sentence. In having good grammar and punctuation the sentences are clearly written and the wordiness is taken out of the sentences. By following steps this should make a great essay at the end of this term.

College Composition 2 Unit 1 Exercise

In doing this weeks assignment the things that I learned were some important things to remember in writing a successful research paper. By doing this exercise it showed me some of the things to look for, and the things to avoid in writing a successful paper. I hope that this will be successful in writing my final paper ,and hope that if people see's any mistakes that they will let me know and wish all my classmates success in this class.
